At 'The Edge' we aim to provide a variety of activities for young people.  We aim to make sure that our activities are relevant, fun and provide a safe place for young people to be - spiritually as well as physically and mentally.

The Edge is a Friday night event where everything is relaxed, young people are able to do their own thing with their mates and enjoy the different activities we have on offer.  We have a pool table, Wii, sports hall with basketball and football facilities, music equipment plus plenty of space just to relax with mates.  There is also a tuck shop with reasonably priced snacks.  During the night we have a 15 min talk / discussion which has relevance to the Christian faith and hopefully relevance to young peoples lives.  We also have regular outings and fun nights.

Connect Groups Extra is a group for school years 7 - 11 which runs every Sunday morning.  The group is split by age, years 7 - 8, and years 9 - 11.  It is a fun and focused group that looks deeper into the Bible and our lives, involving discussion and exploring the Bible.

Connect Groups are a great way to connect with other young people and learn truth from the Bible and how that can impact our lives.  It is a great opportunity for young people to share life together with others who may be in the same or similar situation. Connect groups run every week on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Project 1* is a great way to get young people involved in the local community and make a difference.  We have already seen young people getting involved by cleaning up a copse at the local secondary school.  It's a great way for allowing young people the opportunity to make a change - regardless of where they stand on their spiritual journey.

Junior Leadership is a chance to develop young committed Christians who are genuinely interested in helping serve and lead in the Church environment.  Junior leaders (JL) are encouraged to commit to specific guidelines regarding lifestyle choices and encouraged to think about living a life above reproach in order that their peers and friends will see a maturity both in their role as JL's but also in a school/college environment. We have currently eight JL's serving in various youth programmes across the youth ministry and we meet twice a term to develop leadership techniques and to discuss highlights and progress points.

The Edge has been developed by a team that consist mainly of volunteers.  All work extremely hard to develop a variety of activities for young people of all stages of belief.  We believe that all young people are valuable and we accept every young person where they are at!  Although our activities are of a Christian nature, we allow the young people to make faith based decisions - they will never be forced or pressured.
