FAITH AND FOOTBALL
LOCKS HEATH YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The charity Faith and Football operates a number of community youth football leagues around the country having been started in Portsmouth by Pompey footballer Linvoy Primus and ex-player Mick Mellows. This is for children aged 7-15 years old. It is a high energy, fun, exciting activity to take part in and adds to the lives of the young people and families who get involved.
The young people who have registered are put into teams with a manager and then play a round robin league over 5 sessions. (once a fortnight) Each team will play six 8 a-side matches each evening lasting 6 minutes each with a referee controlling the game.
There is no cost for registration or the season but participants are expected to wear appropriate sports clothing, football boots and shin pads. (We will be able to help if the young people do not have these).
| The next season will be Summer 2013. |
