The Way In
Most people who face debt problems have not got there because they have an extravagant lifestyle. They are there because of a change in circumstances: redundancy, relationship breakdown, illness or because they have been living for a long time on a very low income.
The Way It Is
Being in debt can turn your life upside down. It is difficult to cope emotionally and practically. The pressure increases when a court summons arrives, goods are repossessed or the people you owe money to start phoning or visiting you at home. Debt is a stigma. It can lead to shame, guilt loneliness and a feeling of constant stress.
The Way Out

FREE - there is no charge for anything we do.
AVAILABLE - to all who may benefit regardless of age, ethnic background, beliefs or sexual orientation.
CONFIDENTIAL - none of your details will be made available to anyone outside the Service or to any agency unless you give us your permission.
NON-JUDGEMENTAL - we will not pass judgment on the reasons you got into debt. Our purpose is to stand with you and help you cope with the situation and for you to eventually take over responsibility yourself.
COMPETENT - the advisers have been trained to deal quickly and efficiently with debt, creditors and budgeting.
RESPECTFUL -of your right to make your own decisions.
