| Do you know anyone who attends church ‘once in a blue moon’? |
 |
Well these events are for you.
They are exciting, interesting, entertaining and fun with such a variety that means there will be something for everyone and you would be able to invite anyone who is not a Christian and be sure that they would be comfortable at them.
The Blue Moon Team are busy creating and organising more great events for 2013. There is something for everyone, so get praying and inviting. You will be involved in the greatest act a follower of Jesus Christ can do, point someone you care about to Him.
In 2013 we are planning another ‘Whose Wine is it Anyway’ evening and a ‘Men’s Pizza and Pasta’ night that will have a sporting flavour. Keep an eye out for dates and ticket details.

OCTOBER 2013 IS BLUE MOON MONTH
Over the last few years Blue Moon events have enabled us to bring along friends, neighbours, family and work colleagues to a variety of fun evenings. These have included Jonathan Veira, 1980’s Disco Night, John Archer, Steve Legg, Whose Wine, Linvoy Primus Curry Night and much more. We have heard many positive stories that have shown a change of attitude towards Christians, people coming on the Alpha courses or starting attending Church and coming to know Jesus.
October 2013 will be the second ‘Blue Moon Month’ and we would like you to get involved and join the adventure!
The Blue Moon Hospitality Box is full of ideas to help you arrange your own gathering of friends, neighbours and work colleagues. It could be a dinner party with those neighbours you’ve meant to have round for ages, a coffee morning with other mums from school, a take-away with friends or a cup of tea and a slice of cake with someone you say hello to once in a while.
Blue Moon is all about reaching out into the community, sharing life with people you know and when ready, providing an opportunity to discuss how your faith has helped you. We want to touch as many people as possible in the month of July. Through hospitality and conversations we pray that your neighbours, friends and family might bump into Jesus.
THE BLUE MOON CHALLENGE
| |
You can get a box from the church and with a group of church friends set up 5 hospitality events in the month of July. Your events can range from a cup of tea and an iced bun through to a full blown ‘Come Dine with Me’ experience. Use the box yourself then pass it on to someone else from the church – perhaps someone in your small group – and let’s see how creative you can be.
With 25 boxes in circulation and 5 hospitality events taking place from each box, we calculate that is 125 events showing our Christian hospitality! Wow! How amazing would that be!

Blue Moon events can act as a first step or a bridge to someone discovering faith and are an ideal opportunity for you to share the journey with someone you invite along. At some point you will be able to invite them to an Alpha course where they can spend time working through the question, ‘Is there more to life than this?’
